On Friday the 4th of September, Dock One’s first residents collected the keys to their new homes. The first of the park-facing townhouses have reached completion, with residents starting to collect their keys and move in from now onwards.
These two storey townhouses feature roof terrace balconies overlooking the old Port Adelaide Customs House. They also provide residents with views of the surrounding Wonderwalls art and the Marines & Harbour Building, which is also set to experience rejuvenation as a boutique hotel in the future as a part of Dock One's larger masterplan.
Once the landscaping is completed out the front of these homes, they will face onto a large park link, providing green space and seating for the residents.
Kelli, the first to collect her keys, is recognised as being the first resident in a historically significant development, marking a memorable moment for Dock One and Port Adelaide.
The occasion signals the start of a continual welcoming of new residents to their Dock One homes, and will result in hundreds of new residents for Port Adelaide.
Local business will benefit from the influx of new locals, and the Dock One team is looking forward to the Port’s waterfront and surrounding area being activated and engaged in the community.
